Choose Framer for fast, design-led landing pages and small marketing sites, especially if your team designs in Figma. Choose Webflow for larger sites with a real CMS, structured content, ecommerce and long-term growth. Framer starts at $10 per site per month billed yearly, Webflow at $15.
Framer and Webflow are the two most popular no-code tools for designers who want full control over how a website looks. We build on Webflow every week, so we are not neutral, but both are good tools. The right one depends on the size of the site and who will run it.

Design workflow
Framer works like a design tool. You drag frames, use stacks for layout and publish. Designers who live in Figma feel at home within a day, which makes Framer very fast for landing pages.
Webflow works like visual CSS. You build with boxes, classes and a style system. It takes longer to learn, but it gives precise control over responsive layouts and keeps large sites consistent.
CMS and content
Both have a CMS. Webflow’s is more mature: reference and multi-reference fields, filters, nested lists, large item limits and an editor your team can use without touching the design. If the site will grow to dozens of blog posts, case studies or locations, Webflow handles that structure better.
Ecommerce
Webflow has built-in ecommerce plans with products, cart and checkout. Framer does not have a native store, so you connect a third-party tool or link to an external shop. For selling products directly on the site, Webflow, or Shopify, is the safer choice.
Animations and interactions
Framer makes good-looking motion very easy. Webflow offers deeper control through its Interactions and GSAP integration, which matters for complex scroll animations.
SEO
Both give you editable meta tags, clean URLs, sitemaps and fast hosting. Rankings depend on content, structure and links, not on which of the two you pick.
Which one should you choose?
Choose Framer if you need a beautiful landing page or a small site fast, your team designs in Figma and the content will stay simple.
Choose Webflow if the site is your main marketing channel, will grow with a blog or case studies, needs ecommerce, or will be maintained by a team for years.
Our rule of thumb: Framer for speed on small, design-led sites; Webflow for anything you expect to grow. Moving a growing site from Framer to Webflow later means rebuilding it, so think one or two years ahead.
