On Fiverr you buy services called gigs. You pick a seller and a package, pay upfront, send your requirements, and the seller delivers within the stated time. Fiverr holds your payment and releases it to the seller only after you accept the delivery or the order completes.

Fiverr works more like an online store for services than a job board. Instead of posting a job and waiting for proposals, you browse ready-made offers and order the one that fits.
How Fiverr works in 7 steps
- Search for a service. Type what you need, for example "webflow website" or "logo design".
- Filter the results. Use seller level, Fiverr Pro, budget and delivery time.
- Compare gigs. Each gig has packages (often Basic, Standard and Premium) with a price, delivery time and number of revisions.
- Message the seller. Ask questions or request a custom offer if your project does not fit a package.
- Order and pay. You pay upfront, including Fiverr’s buyer service fee. Fiverr holds the money.
- Send your requirements. The delivery clock usually starts once the seller has your brief and files.
- Review the delivery. Accept it, or request a revision within your package. When the order completes, the seller is paid and you can leave a review.
