Short answer

The Fiverr affiliate program pays 25% of a new buyer's first Marketplace order (70% for Fiverr Pro), capped at $500, plus 10% of their orders for the next 12 months. Affiliates get banners in many sizes, widgets and deep links to any gig or category. Blogs, review sites, YouTube, Reddit and Pinterest are the most popular ways to promote it.

Fiverr affiliate: a glossy chain link next to a stack of lime green dollar coins with a rising arrow

We sell design services on Fiverr since 2014, and we also promote Fiverr as an affiliate. After years on both sides, the Fiverr affiliate program is one of the few we keep recommending: the payouts per sale are high, the tools are good, and almost everyone needs a freelancer at some point. Here is why it works, what it pays, and the traffic sources that bring in commissions.

These are the commission plans Fiverr publishes for affiliates. Every plan pays on the first order of a new buyer, plus a share of what that buyer spends over the next 12 months.

Payouts can be claimed once your balance reaches $100, and they are paid monthly to your bank account on net 30 terms. Commissions come from purchases only, not from clicks or sign-ups. Rates change from time to time, so always check the current numbers on the official Fiverr affiliates page.

Why the Fiverr affiliate program is one of the best

1. One sale can pay $500

Most affiliate programs pay a few dollars per sale. Fiverr pays a percentage of the first order, up to $500. That cap is reached faster than you would think: a $2,000 first order on the Marketplace (25%) or a first Fiverr Pro order of about $715 (70%) already pays the full $500.

From our own dashboard: we have hit the $500 maximum on a single referral several times, from content we published once and did not touch again. In one reporting period our links brought 1,720 clicks, 54 registrations and $5,020 in commissions. It is the closest thing to passive income we have seen from affiliate marketing, because the buyers come from search and the articles keep working.

2. You keep earning for 12 months

A referred buyer rarely orders once. With the 10% revenue share, every later order from that buyer in the following 12 months adds to your balance. A client who comes back for a logo, then a website, then social media graphics pays you three times.

3. Marketing materials in almost every size

Fiverr gives affiliates a large library of ready-made banners for different services, in many dimensions: wide leaderboards like 640x100, tall sidebars like 600x1200 and boxes like 600x500. Each one comes with a click URL and HTML code you can paste into any site. You do not have to design anything yourself, and the banners match the service you are writing about.

4. You choose exactly what you sell

This is the feature we use most. The Fiverr ad widget can work two ways:

  • Fiverr picks the gigs for you: you set a category, a subcategory, keywords and a price range, and the widget shows the best performing gigs that match.
  • You pick a specific gig: you promote one seller or one service you trust and have tested.

You can also link to any Fiverr page that suits your audience, from a whole category to a single gig. A post about logo design can show logo gigs, a post about WordPress can show WordPress developers, and the visitor lands on exactly what they were reading about. That relevance is why the conversion rate stays high.

5. It is an easy product to recommend

You are not asking anyone to buy something they do not need. People who search for a logo designer, a video editor or a website developer already have the problem. Fiverr is a brand most buyers know, checkout is simple, and there are services at every budget, so a large share of the visitors you send can find something that fits.

The most popular ways to promote Fiverr

You need a place where people already look for services. These are the traffic sources that work best for Fiverr affiliates, from the most reliable to the most experimental.

Blog or niche site

This is where most of our commissions come from. Write articles that answer a buyer question, such as how much a logo costs, how to hire a WordPress designer or which file format to ask for, and add relevant Fiverr links and banners where they help the reader. Search traffic takes months to build, but a ranking article earns for years.

Review and comparison sites

People compare Fiverr with Upwork, 99designs or an agency before they buy. Honest comparisons convert well because the reader is close to a decision. Our own Fiverr vs Upwork and Fiverr vs 99designs guides are examples of this format.

YouTube

Videos where you order a service and show the result, or walk through how to choose a seller, build trust fast. Put the affiliate link in the description and a pinned comment. YouTube also ranks in Google, so a good video can bring search traffic too.

Reddit

Subreddits for small business, startups, design and freelancing are full of people asking where to find help. A useful answer with a link can convert well. Read each subreddit's rules first, disclose that it is an affiliate link, and never post the same link everywhere: spam gets removed and banned quickly.

Pinterest

Pinterest works for visual services. Create pins for logo ideas, brand color palettes or website layouts and link them to your blog post, where the affiliate links live. Pins keep getting shown for months, which makes Pinterest a good second channel next to a blog.

Newsletter, Quora, LinkedIn and TikTok

If you already have an audience anywhere, a short recommendation in a newsletter or a LinkedIn post can bring quick sales. Use these channels to test which services your audience wants before you write long content about them.

From the studio: our best converting links are not on the homepage or in sidebars. They sit inside articles that answer one specific question, next to the moment the reader decides they would rather hire someone. Match the link to the problem in the article, and use the widget to show gigs from that exact category.

How to start as a Fiverr affiliate

  1. Sign up through the Fiverr affiliate registration page.
  2. Pick one niche you understand, such as design, websites, video or writing.
  3. Choose one main traffic source from the list above and stick with it for a few months.
  4. Create your links in the Marketing Tools section: deep links, banners in the right size, or a widget filtered to your category.
  5. Publish content that answers buyer questions and add links where they help.
  6. Check your dashboard to see which content and categories convert, then make more of what works.

What to know before you join

  • You earn on purchases only. Clicks and registrations show interest, but they do not pay.
  • The first-order commission is capped at $500. Very large orders still pay $500, plus the revenue share on later orders.
  • Payouts start at $100 and arrive monthly on net 30 terms, so the first payment takes a while.
  • It needs real traffic. The program rewards useful content. It is not a shortcut for spam links.
