Landing page examples: 6 types and what each one needs
Short answer

The six most common landing page types are SaaS free trial or demo, lead magnet, local service, product launch, event or webinar, and single-product ecommerce. Each needs a headline that matches the ad, one call to action, proof near the top, benefits before features and a short FAQ.

A landing page has one job: get visitors who arrive from an ad, email or social post to take one action. That makes it very different from a homepage, which has to serve everyone. Below are the six most common landing page types, the sections each one needs, and where to find live examples for inspiration.

Landing page examples by type

TypeWhat the page needs
Free trial or demo (SaaS)One clear promise above the fold, a product screenshot, three key benefits, customer logos or reviews, and one repeated call to action.
Lead magnetA short headline about the result, a preview of the guide or checklist, three bullet points of what is inside, and a form with as few fields as possible.
Local serviceThe service and location in the headline, a phone number and booking button, before and after photos, reviews and a map.
Product launchA strong product image, the main problem it solves, feature highlights with visuals, pricing and a launch offer with a deadline.
Event or webinarDate, time and time zone above the fold, what attendees will learn, speaker photos and a short registration form.
Ecommerce single productLarge product photos, price and buy button above the fold, benefits, reviews, shipping and returns, and FAQ.

The anatomy of a landing page that converts

  1. Headline that matches the ad. If the ad says "Logo design in 3 days", the page should say the same. A mismatch is the fastest way to lose a paid click.
  2. One call to action. Remove the main navigation and secondary offers. Repeat the same button after each major section.
  3. Proof near the top. Ratings, client logos or a short review close to the headline answer "can I trust this?" before the visitor scrolls.
  4. Benefits, then features. Lead with what the visitor gets, then explain how.
  5. Objections answered. A short FAQ about price, timeline and guarantees removes the last reasons to wait.
  6. Fast on mobile. Most paid traffic is mobile. Compress images and keep the first screen light.
A common landing page problem is not design. It is trying to do three things at once. Pick one offer, one audience and one action per page.

Where to find live landing page examples

  • Made in Webflow: real sites built on Webflow, many of them landing pages.
  • Land-book and Lapa Ninja: curated galleries of landing pages, filterable by industry and style.
  • Your competitors' ads: click through their ads to see the pages they actually pay to send traffic to.

When you collect examples, note what each page does for its audience, not just how it looks. A design that works for a SaaS trial may hurt a local plumber's booking page.

FAQ

A headline that matches the ad, one clear call to action, proof near the top, benefits before features and a fast mobile experience.

A homepage serves every visitor and links everywhere. A landing page is built for one audience and one action, usually without the main navigation.

Galleries like Land-book and Lapa Ninja, the Made in Webflow showcase, and the pages your competitors send their own ads to.

As long as it takes to answer the visitor's questions. Simple, cheap offers can be short. Expensive or complex offers need more proof and detail.
